COVID-19 POLICY
As of Monday, December 27, 2021, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Commissioner Dave A. Chokshi, has ordered proof of vaccination in the workplace. Upstairs Realty affirms its compliance with this policy. The Real Estate Board of New York has interpreted the order (which you can find here) to mean that listing brokers need to ask for proof of vaccination from both buyer’s brokers and their clients (and that includes client ride-alongs, such as friends and family). Accordingly, if you wish to see an apartment:
- Please allow 24 hours’ notice
- Please email proof of vaccination (a screen shot of your Excelsior Pass, for example) for everyone in your party.
- You will also be asked to respect Social Distancing Guidelines AND ALSO to wear a mask.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES
Please be advised that prior to showing a purchaser a property, 1) we require identification from a prospective purchaser, 2) we encourage but do not require a purchaser to sign an exclusive brokerage agreement, and 3) we do not require pre-approval for a mortgage loan to show a prospective purchaser properties.
